Entrepreneurs from all over the world in the City of Peace and Justice

The Hague will be welcoming the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on 3 – 5 June 2019. At the GES, around 2,000 entrepreneurs, investors and other participants from all over the world will come together at the World Forum in The Hague. Hosted by two of the world’s most innovative countries, the United States and The Netherlands, this 9th edition of GES will focus on global opportunities for the next wave of entrepreneur-led innovation in scalable tech, from artificial intelligence and robotics to blockchain, big data, new science and more.

GES will be a one-of-a-kind experience, energized by a festive atmosphere, with a high-level conference and marketplace where ideas are transformed into actions. The theme of GES is The Future Now. The focus investment sectors of GES for this year are Agri/Food, Connectivity, Energy, Health, and Water. Access to finance, Job creation, and Women’s economic empowerment are overarching aspects.

The World Forum The Hague will be transformed into a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. The Summit offers unmatched opportunities for businesses looking to scale up. 1,200 hand-picked entrepreneurs will engage with 300+ investors managing trillions of dollars of assets, as well as top policymakers, corporate partners and thought leaders to accelerate solutions.

Many well-known Dutch business leaders, politicians, academics and researchers will be taking part in GES 2019. The host city: The Hague

GES 2019 is to be held in the European Union for the first time. The Summit has found a perfect match with the profile of the city of The Hague, where businesses, international organizations and creative minds come together to work towards a safe, better and righteous world. Doing good and doing business forms the very heart and soul of The Hague’s economy.

“Every day tens of thousands of people in The Hague are working towards a better, safer and a more just world. They work in international organisations, NGOs, and various start-ups as well as the Peace Palace – the symbol of international justice. Here we empower impact entrepreneurs and support innovation and technology to improve our planet.”, affirms Pauline Krikke, mayor of The Hague.

Furthermore The Hague brings the benefits of a cosmopolitan city with small town charm and a distinctive quality of life that ranks at the very top of international surveys. No matter where you are in the city, you are never far away from the 11 kilometers (7 miles) stretch of sandy beach. The ideal place to take a break from life’s hustle and bustle and to find inspiration for new ideas and make a difference in this world.
