The European Association Summit kicks off today in a new, three-day online conference format, bringing together nearly 200 members of the association community for a breakthrough event that will deal with present and future challenges for the industry and society as a whole.
The European Association Summit aims to shine the spotlight on the innovators and reformers driving the association community forward. During this 9th edition of the conference, some 50 experts will share their knowledge and exchange views with the audience.
Starting with a networking session on 20 April, the summit will continue with themed sessions on 21 and 22 April around four main tracks: Business and strategy, Public affairs, Events, Communication and Membership.
An uplifting message from Brussels to the world
Live from Brussels and with a global outreach, the programme will be a smart mix of case studies, discussion panels, demo sessions and lab style workshops. It will feature speakers representing associations, events and communications professionals, and will cover upcoming initiatives relevant to finance, EU affairs and digital trends, thanks to experienced practitioners.
“The associations’ sector has shown impressive resilience this past year and has proven its networking efficiency when putting ideas into practice for its own sector and for each of the domains that associations represent. It also serves as a great example for cooperation between destinations and businesses, that we wished to highlight at our yearly conference.
Thanks to the energy of our speakers and attendees, we look forward to a bright future” highlights Elisabeth Van Ingelgem, Director of the Strategy and International Department at visit.brussels.
Organised by visit.brussels, the European Association Summit helps to showcase what great assets associations are and, by encouraging exchange between them, how they can benefit society as a whole. International associations, of which over 2,400 are headquartered in Brussels, have witnessed major global change for over a century and have repeatedly demonstrated their versatility and innovative character, thus confirming the accuracy of the 2021 year’s theme “The Future is NOW!”.
The European Association Summit 2021 will take place on a digital platform as an interactive and live-streamed event starting at 15:00 CET on Tuesday 20 April. It is the annual event that brings together the association community in the world’s international associations capital, Brussels.
Organised since 2013, the conference has been a leader of educational activities for association professionals. As the home of more than 2,400 international associations, the Brussels-Capital Region has developed services to guide international associations through establishing headquarters and community development. Those services are led by a dedicated team within visit.brussels.
