New York.- Questex Travel Group, organizers of the successful Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchanges (GMITE) event portfolio has announced they will be hosting two Stadium Series events in 2017 – July 18 at Yankee Stadium in New York City and November 8 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California.
A pillar of the GMITE brand, the Stadium Series are regional events that take the one-to-one appointment concept out of noisy ballrooms and moves it into quiet private suites, allowing suppliers the opportunity to conduct a minimum of 15 quality meetings in just one day.
For the New York event, attendees will be represented by a veritable cross section of meeting and event planners, and high-volume incentive buyers from the northeast region including New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. In Anaheim, buyers are expected to come from southern California. The Questex team will pre-qualify all attendees in advance of the event in order to ensure they meet the standards suppliers require for their business needs, another pillar of the GMITE brand.
Suppliers at both events represent cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and sought-after incentive destinations, hotels, resorts and spas across the globe.

Unique venues such as stadiums offers meeting planners new and creative ways to shake up their meetings and hopefully increase attendance, said John McMahon, executive vice president for the Questex Travel Group.
“Everyone who attended our first Stadium Series event was blown away with the total experience offered,” said McMahon. “These venues are distinctive and exciting and we expect this concept to grow significantly as more planners are exposed to these venues via our series of events.”
The first Stadium Series event was also held at Yankee Stadium in the fall of 2016 and received extremely positive accolades from attendees.

Since the meetings were pre-arranged and the attending buyers pre-qualified, suppliers only conducted meetings with attendees who were relevant for their business. Participating suppliers walked away from the first event very satisfied with their meeting results.
“It was so exciting to have a buyer walk into my suite with the greeting ‘I couldn’t wait to meet you!’” said LauraLee Wren, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. “Then after only a few minutes, we realized we were a perfect match. Now it looks like we’ll be hosting an event for them in spring 2017,” said Wren. “I’m looking forward to attending Stadium Series again next year!”
