Yokohama Arena will be the site for the Stadia & Arena Asia Pacific 2016 conference in September of this year.
Leaders in the field of athletic facilities development will assemble at the conference to discuss sport venue design, construction, maintenance, and operations management in addition to technologies related to this field.
Conceptualized by UK company ALAD Limited in 1997, this event was convened in Europe every year until it was moved to Singapore in 2014. We are excited to announce that in 2016, Japan will act as host for the first time.
This is also the first time that Japan will have an exhibition and conference with the theme of athletic facilities. With participating companies and attendees from both Japan and abroad, the event will have an international flair.

All of the programs have been designed to maximize interaction between participating companies, sponsors and attendees.
The conference site, the 8,000 sqm Yokohama Arena, has a seating capacity of 17,000.
This multipurpose space has been used as a venue for concerts, pro wrestling events, tennis matches, volleyball tournaments, and many other international sporting competitions.
Tours of the some of Yokohama’s other athletic facilities (such as the International Stadium Yokohama and the Yokohama International Swimming Pool) will also be conducted.

As host for the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final, and plans to be the site for the 2020 Olympics soccer matches, Yokohama is a fitting choice for Stadia & Arena Asia Pacific 2016.
With major sporting events, such as the 2019 World Rugby Cup and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, to be held in Japan in the future, there will be a growing demand for athletic facilities construction and improvement.
The Stadia & Arena Asia Pacific 2016 will attract an estimated 2,000 conference attendees and exhibition visitors.
