Shanghai.- On May 10th, China Conference and Business Travel Forum and Fair 2016 (CCBTF 2016) kicked off at the Shanghai International Convention Center. More than 500 representatives and business travel professionals from tourism bureaus of all over the nation, conference company, travel agency, venues and public relations consulting firms attended the forum. Ms. Cheng Meihong, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration attended the forum and delivered the opening speech.
China International Meetings & Conferences Forum (CIMCF) has been held for five times continuously since 2011, and intruded business travel plate and trade fair in 2016. In this year, its name is changed to China Conference & Business Travel Forum & Fair (CCBTF).
It will be committed to building high-end MICE industry exchange interactive platform, aiming at sharing international and domestic conference award and current situation and development trend of business tourism industry, strengthening industry exchange and promotion, thus providing more opportunities for business development.
This forum is co-organized by Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, Nanjing Municipal Tourism Commission, Ningbo Municipal Tourism Administration, Suzhou Municipal Tourism Administration and Jiaxing Municipal Tourism Administration, forming a strong cooperation between regions.
After 5 years’ hard work and training, CCBTF constantly enrich the connotation, enhance service and expand the impact, and now has become one of the important platforms for our meeting and business travel industry communication.
This year, CCBTF enters the sixth year after continuing the glory of CIMCF, the organizing committee will continue to dedicate a wonderful and innovative industry event. Compared with the past, this forum has both inheritance and innovation:
In order to continue the classic, TED conference will continue to share the latest and best cognition and practice. After carefully planned the meeting and the first tourism industry TED talks last year, this year the forum invited 6 cross-border service experience senior industry practitioners and successful business elites, interpret the extraordinary TED «Travel Experience Design» for you.
Through introducing and spreading innovative service experience design concepts of different industries and improving service value and energy level, so that the concept and value of the service industry will get more attention.
Topics are well-designed with novel form and rich content, covering many hot topics in the industry: The GBTA Business Travel Outlook & Social Marketing Across ASEAN; Discussion on sports event operation as well as on market development of China’s Association Meeting; and the debate on MICE procurement — online innovation vs offline renovation is a must that you cannot miss.
In addition, the forum guests also include professionals from all walks of life: from senior industry business travel agency, Ctrip, CITS American express to National Convention Center and Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center and other venues brand; From IBM, apple, Lenovo and other large multinational companies to GBTA, ICCA, China International Conference Center for Science and Technology (CICCST), and other famous domestic and foreign trade associations; from Jussevent, IMG to Eventown, Merak and other new enterprises in the industries, CCBTF brought a cross-border feast for the industry.
This CCBTF launches the «MICE Young Professional Training School». The organizers will set up a MICE Young Professional Training School in July this year, and let the industry to learn the industry’s most advanced management experience from the MICE industry leaders, develop international vision, and better grasp the industry development trends. On May 9, two important MICE industry experts brought the students a pre-conference course.
It is worth mentioning that, this year CCBTF introduces trade fair for the first time. The forum will use reservation negotiation system for the first time, create a platform for demonstration promotion and exchange interaction, and provide a good opportunity for participants for making an appointment with more than 200 invited buyers (Conference award and business professionals, enterprise purchasers, Shanghai consular representatives, Shanghai chamber of commerce representatives, etc. ).
In addition, this year CCBTF will join hands with Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) for the first time and add business travel plate contents. With the continuous development of domestic business travel market and expansion of the market size, domestic business travel market attracts more and more attention from all aspects.
Forum organizers cooperate with the GBTA for the first time, and share the global business travel outlook report, discuss the agendas on travel procurement and management, understand the industry trends, make business tourism industry prospect anticipation for the industry, digging investment value of business tourism industry, thus jointly promoting the development of China’s business travel market.
Since the forum was held for the first time in 2011, it has gained more and more attention and support from the industry colleagues. This year, in addition to the 7 MICE destination cities, it also got strong support and help from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and China Center of International Science and Technology (CICCST). After five years’ development and accumulation, the new CCBTF brand will be committed to leading the next five-year industry innovation and development. I believe that in the future, CCBTF will get more attention from domestic and foreign industry, and become the annual gathering event for industry professionals, helps to promote the prosperity and development of China conference and tourism.
