About the speakers

Sherrif Karamat

Sherrif Karamat is President and CEO of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). In conjunction with his role, Karamat also serves as President of PCMA’s Education Foundation and Publisher of Convene magazine.

In his previous role he led the development and implementation of the organization’s new vision: Driving global economic and social transformation through business events. As part of PCMA’s growth strategy, Karamat has led the organization on a major data intelligence program and played a key role in the recent acquisition of Incentive Conference & Event Society Asia Pacific.

Sherrif is a life-long learner and, in addition to completing his Bachelor of Administrative Studies (BAS) and Master of Business Administration (MBA), he has completed various post graduate certificate programs , including a program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Data Intelligence and Big Data.

The HQ hotel for IAPCO EDGE Advanced Seminar is Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre, situated few steps from the Prague Congress Centre.

Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre is a comfortable hotel next to Prague Congress Centre, with a garden restaurant, a bar and meeting rooms. Nearby Vyšehrad Metro Station is only two stops from the city centre, and a handy walkway connects to Prague Congress Centre. A short walk away, you can discover Vyšehrad fort and its historic cemetery.

Arrival by car:

The Prague Congress Centre is adjacent to the North-South Prague City Expressway “5. května” – follow the road signs for “Kongresové centrum Praha”. Parking is available in the Prague Congress Centre’s underground car park, or in the open-air car park on the southern side of the building.

Arrival by public transportation:

Take the red metro line C to the “Vyšehrad” stop. The Prague Congress Centre is just few steps from the metro stop.
