A family summer in Brussels

Brussels is brimming with activities of all kinds for a family outing. And summer is nearly here, and very welcome. Apart from the many organised activities for children offered by the Brussels museums, several festivals and open-air activities will be happening in the Capital to please our little ones.

Brussels will be paying special attention to children throughout the year. Life-size sculptures and paintings of comic strip heroes can be found there. Even the museums are offering extraordinary adventures for the youngest children. In every part of the city, parks, gardens and play areas welcome the little ones. When’s better than summer for enjoying the Capital with your family in the best possible way?

Here is a glimpse of the events planned for the fine weather:

A day of surprises awaits young and old alike at the Coudenberg, Charles V’s palace in Brussels. On the programme: guided tours, 16th century cuisine, dancing, games and themed workshops. From 10 am to 6 pm, visitors will have the chance to re-enact the Renaissance era, wear the outfit of a crossbowman, a lady of the Court or a knight! A wonderful chance to go back in time and learn with the family or with friends.
